- France borders Brazil and Suriname. French Guiana is an overseas department of France, as much France as Normandy, and it's the only land link between the Americas and Afro-Eurasia.
- Spain borders Morocco. Ceuta and Melilla are Spanish cities on the North African coast.
- Russia borders Poland and Lithuania. Kaliningrad is a Russian exclave on the Baltic.
- Azerbaijan borders Turkey. Nakhchivan, an Azerbaijani exclave, shares 17 km of border with it.
- Angola borders the Republic of the Congo. Cabinda is an Angolan exclave north of the Congo River.
- Botswana borders Zambia, for about 150 metres at Kazungula.
- Not counted: Gibraltar, Greenland, and anything across water, so Russia doesn't border the United States.
- You're in a country, not a place in it. Arrive in French Guiana and Germany is one crossing away.
- Each guess must share a land border with the country you're in; otherwise it's rejected.
- You can't re-enter a country already on your route. Tap a country in your route to go back to it.
- Countries with no land border aren't in the game.
